For the fifth consecutive year, Portugal is listed among the top seven leading countries providers of technology-based services, reported Gartner,Inc., a USA based information technology researcher.

According to its latest study – “Gartner’s Leading Offshore Services Locations in EMEA 2015: Nearshore Increases Despite Geopolitical Concerns” – Portugal ranks high in the list, together with the Republic of Ireland, Israel, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain and Wales.

The study analyses how countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, position themselves as providers of outsourcing technology-based services.

Factors such as availability, quality and maturity of resources, infrastructure and general business environment, together with political stability, positioned Portugal as a prominent competitor among the top high-tech outsourcing destinations.

This fact results from a significant investment in education, infrastructures modernization, simplification of public services and a public and private focus on research and development, together with language skills and an innate ability to work in multicultural, cross-border working environments.
