The Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD), in partnership with the Portuguese Athletic Club and the Heritage Publications of California announced a series of book launching events in California.
Four books will be presented: À Procura da Grande Estratégia: De Roosevelt a Obama, by the I Azorean Roosevelt Forum; Repúblicas em paralelo: Portugal – E.U.A., FLAD edition; Os Estados Unidos, Portugal e os Açores ao tempo da escala de FDR nas ilhas: 1918, by Mário Mesquita; Forum Açoriano F. D.. Roosevelt como lugar de diálogo transatlântico” by Sara Pina; and A língua e cultura portuguesa nos EUA: Os projectos da Fundação, by António Vicente.
The first event will take place Sunday, March 20, at 6:00pm no Salão da SES de Santa Clara; the second event will take place on Thursday March 24, at 12:00pm at the University of San José; an the third event will take place on Thursday March 24, at 7:30, at the Portuguese Athletic Club.
