Appointed: David J. Andrade – Senior Project Manager at William Starck Architects – Fall River, MA

William Starck Architects, Inc has pointed David J. Andrade as Senior Project Manager. Mr. Andrade will be responsible for overseeing project development from initial conceptual design through construction, as well as general management responsibilities.

Mr. Andrade has over 10 years of experience in design and project management for commercial, pharma/biotech, industrial and residential projects. He comes to WSA with a geographically diverse portfolio that features projects in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

David’s experience in the field of Bio and Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities immediately positions the firm to provide professional design services to companies interested in moving to the SouthCoast Life Sciences & Technology Park in Fall River.”

Mr. Andrade joins the WSA team from Hart Design Group in Cumberland, RI. During his successful tenure at Hart, he worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from the design and construction of a 120,000 SF Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility to campus master planning studies to developing construction documents for routine campus wide facility maintenance/upgrade initiatives. Prior to Hart, he worked on numerous projects including corporate headquarters, condominium projects, mill conversions and mercantile fit-outs. Mr. Andrade also comes to WSA with 10+ years of residential and light construction experience.

Mr. Andrade’s initial work at WSA has focused on “Cove 392”, a new feature restaurant and marina located on Fall River’s waterfront.

A graduate of Roger Williams University with a Master of Architecture, Mr. Andrade currently serves as the Rhode Island Director for the Portuguese American Citizenship Project and Vice-President (former President) of the Portuguese American Citizens Committee of Rhode Island. He has also served as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Institute for Portuguese and Lusophone World Studies at Rhode Island College and was a prior member of the Advisory Board for the Providence Portuguese Consulate.
