Travelers visiting Portugal are now able to subscribe to the “Portugal Travel Insurance” a travel insurance policy adapted to meet the health needs relating to the COVID’19 pandemic.
The insurance, which covers the entire Portuguese territory, provides for medical, surgical, pharmaceutical and hospital expenses associated with COVID’19, including expenses relating for cancellation, interruption or extension of the trip, due to the pandemic.
Created by Turismo de Portugal, the goal is to guarantee that those visiting Portugal can travel around the country, safe and with confidence.
“Visitors who reside abroad and are planning their holidays in Portugal can now subscribe to ‘Portugal Travel Insurance’, a travel insurance adapted to the new pandemic reality brought about by COVID’19,” according to Turismo de Portugal.
Coverage enables access to high-quality urgent health care or check-ups, at fixed prices, in the network of hospitals and clinics throughout the national territory.
Turismo the Portugal has also created the “Clean & Safe Seal” and the renewal of the Portugal Health Passport, which now includes COVID’19 testing, and is available to all who visit the country.
According to Turismo de Portugal, “since the creation of the ‘Clean & Safe’ seal, in April, there are already more than 21 thousand adherents nationwide.
