Earlier this month, the Azores Tourism Summit introduced the new Azores Tourism Portal, a digital platform designed to enhance the user experience by consolidating tourism-related services and information into a single, user-friendly website.
The Azores Tourism Portal streamlines access to an extensive array of tourism resources and services, previously dispersed across multiple channels, to offer a cohesive and accessible experience for users. This website includes key institutional information such as current legislation on licensing and financial incentives, along with various services and resources managed by the Regional Directorate for Tourism.
A key feature of the portal is its support for entrepreneurs and investors, providing centralized access to regulatory and strategic information to aid in planning and decision-making for new ventures. Resources available on the site support business and tourism development, with digital access to brochures, maps, and other downloadable materials for each island.
The platform also highlights the Azores’ tourism offerings, presenting detailed information on each of the nine islands, covering geography, history, gastronomy, attractions, and activities.
Additionally, users can access lists of licensed accommodations, entertainment options (land and sea), car rentals, travel agencies, restaurants, and public transportation, with links to other relevant platforms and digital resources.
Through this portal, the Regional Directorate for Tourism has established a dynamic communication tool to engage diverse audiences, underscoring its commitment to sustainable tourism growth, innovation, and sectoral development in the Azores.
