Portugal’s women’s national football team has officially qualified for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, set to take place in Switzerland from July 2 to July 27, 2025.

Their continued presence on the European stage reflects growing investment and development in women’s football in Portugal.

This marks the team’s third consecutive appearance at the European Championship, following their debut in 2017 and participation again in 2022. Portugal secured their place through the play-offs, demonstrating resilience and steady progress in an increasingly competitive field.

Matches will be held in eight Swiss host cities: Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Sion, and Thun. Portugal’s group-stage clash with Spain will take place at Stadion Wankdorf in Bern, Thursday, June 3, while the tournament final is scheduled for July 27 at St. Jakobs-Park in Basel. 

In the United States, matches will be broadcast on FOX Sports platforms, with Spanish-language coverage via TUDN and ViX. Across Europe, broadcasting varies by country, and UEFA.tv will offer streaming in select regions without local broadcast agreements.
