The 2011 “Festas do Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres,” taking place in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, from May 28 to June 2, will be broadcast live online on the Internet.
According to a statement from the organizers, on May 27 viewers around the world will be able to watch the Santuário da Esperança illuminations and the Campo de S. Francisco evening event; on May 28 viewers will be able to see the Procissão da Mudança and the outdoor Mass; and on May 29 the traditional main procession will be broadcast live online.

The 2011 “Festas do Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres” (Christ of Miracles Feast), the largest religious celebration of the Azores, are nearly 400 years old. The tradition attracts many thousands of Azorean pilgrims returning home for the festivities.
According to the 2011 Festivities Program, distinguished guestsfor the 2011 event include Portuguese-American Cardinal William Levada, from California; Bishop of Algarve, D.
