The National Organization of Portuguese-Americans (NOPA), will hold its first annual  Portuguese American Young Leaders Summit (YPALS).

The event, sponsored by the Portuguese Embassy, will take place in Washington, DC, in June, 2011.

The main goal is to educate the Portuguese-American youth regarding the many advantages and opportunities offered to them  by Portugal.

The summit will address political issues, the economy and culture of Portugal as well as the state of bilateral relations between Portugal and the United States.
