Portuguese-Canadian Meaghan Benfeito, 23, (right) and her team mate Roselin Filion (left) won a Bronze Medal in women’s 10-metre synchronized diving at the London Olympics. The duo captured Canada’s second medal.
Benfeito has won three other bronze medals over her career with one each in synchro events at the world championships, Commonwealth Games, and Pan American Games.
The two divers qualified for the Beijing Olympics games four years ago, winning seven place and gaining experience.
Benfeito, a native of Montreal, is a daughter and granddaughter of Portuguese immigrants from Porto Formoso, São Miguel Island, Azores. Read more >>
