Ambassador Nuno Brito visiting East Coast – Boston, MA

The Ambassador of Portugal in Washington DC, Nuno Brito, is scheduled to visit the East Coast October 24.

According to the program for the visit, Ambassador Brito will meet with Massachusetts state dignitaries, including the Office of Governor Deval Patrick, Portuguese American legislators at the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Honorable Phillip Rapoza Chief Justice of Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Ambassador Brito will also visit the MIT-Portugal Program, where he is scheduled to meet a group of Portuguese students at MIT.

In the evening, Ambassador Brito will meet representatives from the Portuguese American community, from the Boston area, at a reception hosted by Portuguese Consul General Paulo Cunha Alves at the Portuguese Consulate General in Boston.

Ambassador Nuno Brito is the head of the Portuguese Diplomatic Mission in the United States since February 23, 2011.

In addition to the Embassy of Portugal in Washington, there are 15 Portuguese diplomatic representations in the United States to serve the Portuguese resident communities, namely the Consulate General in Boston (MA); Consulate General in New Bedford (MA); and other diplomatic representations in Providence (RI); New York (NY); Waterbury (CT, ); Newark (NJ); Philadelphia (PA); Washington DC; Coral Gables (FL); Chicago (Il); Huston (TX); Los Angeles (CA); San Francisco (CA); Honolulu (HW;) and San Juan Puerto Rico (PR).
