The application deadline for the White House Internship Programs for the Fall of 2011 session, is Sunday, March 13, 2011. Young Portuguese-American leaders are encouraged to apply to serve as  White House Interns. Each semester the White House welcomes over 100 interns into 18 different departments.  This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the Executive Office of the President and prepare them for future public service involvement. While each experience is one-of-a-kind, the program maintains the overarching theme of public service, the White House Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills.
