The third edition of Port Wine Fest is set to take place in the United States in Fall 2025, with stops in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample rare vintages, explore new labels, and discover the versatility of Port in cocktails and gastronomy.

The festival will once again bring the rich traditions, unique flavors, and cultural heritage of Portugal’s world-famous Port wine to American audiences, reinforcing its position as one of the most celebrated wines in the world. The events are expected to attract wine lovers, trade professionals, and culinary leaders, positioning Port wine at the heart of U.S. food and wine culture.

“American consumers have shown a remarkable openness to exploring premium wines and discovering authentic stories behind them,” noted Isabel Marrana,  Executive Director of Port Wine Fest. “Our goal is to make Port wine more approachable and versatile, while celebrating the tradition that makes it so extraordinary,” she said.

Building on the success of previous editions, the 2025 Port Wine Fest will feature exclusive tastings, food pairings, and masterclasses led by renowned sommeliers and winemakers from the Douro Valley.

“Port wine is not just a drink—it is a legacy of the Douro Valley, a symbol of Portuguese identity, and a gift we are proud to share with the world,” remarked Prof. Dr. Gilberto Igrejas, President of the Port Wine Institute (IVDP). “By bringing Port Wine Fest to three dynamic U.S. cities, we aim to inspire both seasoned connoisseurs and new enthusiasts, deepening the connection between Portugal and the United States through culture and taste,” he said.

The Port Wine Fest USA Tour 2025 will take place on the following dates in San Francisco (September 30), Chicago (October 2), and New York City (October 7). Each city stop will feature immersive experiences, including guided tastings of vintage and aged Ports, pairings with fine chocolate and artisanal cheeses, and discussions highlighting the sustainable practices that are shaping the future of winemaking in the Douro.

First produced over three centuries ago, Port wine remains Portugal’s most iconic export. Recognized for its unique terroir and craftsmanship, the Douro Valley—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—continues to produce some of the world’s most acclaimed fortified wines. With the U.S. as one of Portugal’s fastest-growing markets for premium wines, Port Wine Fest 2025 underscores the enduring prestige of this national treasure.

Port Wine Fest is the premier international showcase dedicated to Portugal’s most celebrated wine. Organized with the support of the Port Wine Institute (IVDP) and leading producers from the Douro Valley, the festival highlights the cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation that define Port wine. Since its launch, Port Wine Fest has become a global platform for connecting wine enthusiasts with Portugal’s timeless tradition.
