The Saab Center for Portuguese Studies, at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, is sponsoring the 2018 immersive summer study in Lisbon, Portugal, open to all university majors.
Application deadline is March 15, 2018. Financial aid may be applicable. Scholarships are available to qualifying students up to $2,500.
Participants will enjoy four weeks (June 2-30, 2018) of a unique international experience in the largest city and capital of Portugal, one of the countries of the European Union, by immersing themselves “in this at once ancient and modern waterfront city characterized by a thrilling culture, delicious cuisine, and booming nightlife.”
In addition to exploring everything Lisbon has to offer participants while earning 3 to 6 UMass Lowell credits.
Optional add-on 8-week internship available in design, business, engineering and other fields are offered in partnership with the Study in Portugal Network.
The summer study in Lisbon is co-sponsored in partnership with Department of World Languages and Cultures in the College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
