Portuguese wine and cheese tasting at SCP –Newark, NJ

The Sport Club Portuguese (SCP) is organizing a Portuguese wine and cheese tasting event for April 29, to be held from 6pm to 9pm, at the SCP Hall, located at 55 Prospect Street, Newark, (NJ).

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the delicacies of Portuguese cheese and wine.  Alentejo to the Mountains of Serra da Estrela, to the Douro Region, Portugal boasts some of the most prolific cheese and wine making regions of Europe.

Some of most exquisite wines will be featured hosted by the Tri-State area top importers of Portuguese wines.  The event is open to the public.  General admission is $10 and SCP members pay $5 (with valid member card).

The Sport Club Portuguese was founded in December 21, 1921, and incorporated in April 6, 1922, by a group of Portuguese Americans to serve the community of 200 residing in Newark (NJ).  The purpose was to create a social organization to support the Portuguese resident community.
