PASF Second Annual Golf Tournament – Scholarships

The Portuguese American Scholarship Foundation (PASF) is organizing the PASF Second Annual Golf Tournament, to be held Monday, June 20, at 11:30am.

The event, taking place at the Allendale Country Club, 1017 Allen Street, North Dartmouth, MA., includes a boxed lunch and dinner and various prizes.

There are two ways to support the event: by playing in a foursome or becoming a sponsor. Platinum sponsors may contribute with a $2,500 donnation, Gold sponsors may contribute with $1,000 donnation, Hole sponsors with $250, Golf Cart sponsors with$150, and Tee Sign sponsors with $100. Grace Fernandes, President of PASF Board of Directors said, “This is a great opportunity for the community to help our Portuguese American students achieve higher education. Participants can enjoy a fun filled day of golf at one of the best southeastern Massachusetts country clubs, and at the same time contribute to a great cause.”

The Portuguese American Scholarship Foundation (PASF) was established in 1996, with the support of the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) of Lisbon, Portugal, in partnership with the Portuguese American community in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

PASF believes in the importance of education for the advancement of the Portuguese American community in the United States. PASF’s mission is to make funds available for scholarships for deserving Portuguese American students.

Since its creation, fifteen years ago, PASF has awarded over $750,000.00 in scholarships. For the upcoming academic year 2012, PASF will award $30,000 to 10 Portuguese American deserving students.
