Harvesting Portuguese Talent Forum – New York

XII Annual Edition Forum, organized by the Portuguese American Post-Graduate Society (PAPS) will take place on April 16-17, at the NYU Langone Medical Center, 550 First Avenue, in New York City.

The theme “Harvesting the Globalized Portuguese Talent Abroad” will be discussed by panel sessions to include the topic “Portuguese Science: The Way Forward“, “Impact of the Diaspora on the Portuguese Economy” and “Portugal: The Brand.”

The event will feature prominent leaders from several fields of the globalized Portuguese Academia, Industry and Society.

Guest sepakers include Professor José Mariano Gago, Portuguesee Minister of Science Technology and Higher Education, Professor João Caraça, Director of the Science Department at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Dr. Aires Soares,  Leader of the Scientific Delegation at the European Union in the United States, Dr. Gabriel Alonso, CEO of Grupo EDP Renováveis, Dr. Carlos Coelho, CEO da Ivity Corp, and Professor Maria João Valente Rosa, Director of Pordata.

On Sunday morning PAPS General Assembly will take place to elect a new team to lead PAPS for the upcoming year.

PAPS  is an independent, non-profit organization, with no political affiliations. Its main objective is to network the Portuguese postgraduate community in North America with the academic community in Portugal.
