Dual Degree: University of Porto and Carnegie Mellon University launching international program – Portugal

The University of Porto Business School (EGP-UPBS) has been chosen by Carnegie-Mellon University (CMU) for Dual Degree innovative program to be launched worldwide.

The program will allow students to simultaneously earn a Master in Engineering from CMU and a Magellan MBA diploma from EGP-UPBS. 

The joint degree program will have a total duration of 24 months, with one year being spent in Pittsburg, PA, (USA) and another year in Porto (Portugal) at both EGP-UPBS and FEUP- Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.

This agreement is a clear acknowledgement of the high quality of the MBA programs and management training at EGP-UPBS. We are certain that this partnership will bring many benefits for our current students and Alumni, while having also a major impact on our School’s reputation and growing international network” stated EGP-UPBS, Dean of EGP-UPBS.

The objective of the program is to meet the growing need for highly qualified professionals able to combine a strong technological expertise with an acute sense of business skills in a global economy.

EGP – University of Porto Business School has almost 25 years of experience in management teaching, having been jointly founded in 1988 by the University of Porto, the largest university in Portugal, and a set of 25 large, and mostly private, corporations and organizations. It is a business school fully devoted to postgraduate and advanced training in management, complemented by applied research and services to the business world. Its reference programs are the Magellan MBA and the Executive MBA, both of which accredited by AMBA-Association of MBAs and EPAS/EFMD-European Foundation for Management Development.
