CANI: João Figueiredo to present new book and lecture – Fall River, MA

Author João Figueiredo, a graduate student in economics and marketing at the University of the Azores, will present his new book “O Mais Capital Com as Relações Públicas” [The Added Capital and Public Relations], on May 11, at 7:00pm, at Casa dos Açores da Nova Inglaterra (CANI), 232 South Main St., Fall River,MA.

A lecture by the author, on the topic “The Capital of the Azorean Traditions,” will take place followed by the opening of an exhibit of the traditional “Registos do Senhor Santo Cristo” organized by CANI’s “Reiventar Tradições” group. The event, free and open to the public, is followed by a reception.

João Figueiredo, a native of Santa Maria island, is a contributor to many newspapers and publications in the Azores and the editor of the blog “Palavras Malhadas.”   He is also the president of ARPA (Associação de Relações Públicas dos Açores), the editor of Via ARPA, the association’s publication, and an editor for Publiçor and Grupo Nova Gráfica.
