Arts: Tatiana Abrantes exhibiting at Agora Gallery – New York, NY

Tatiana Abrantes is opening her painting exhibit “Elemental Realms” at Agora Gallery in New York City. The exhibition is scheduled to run from February 7, 2014 through February 27, 2014.The opening reception will be held on Thursday night, February 13, 2014 from 6-8 pm.

Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Tatiana Abrantes was born in Mozambique. She studied Fine Arts in Johannesburg, South Africa, and later on drawing and painting at the School of Arco in Lisbon, Portugal.

Her painting in oil painting on canvas explores a wide palette from rustic earth tones to expressionistic hues. She likes to paint from an emotive point of view, expressing love and tenderness and biographical themes reminiscent of her life in Africa.

February is Heart Month in America. In a special gesture of generosity the artist is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the displayed artwork to the Children’s Heart Foundation.

Agora Gallery is located at 530 West 25th Street New York, NY 10001.  It is a contemporary fine art gallery located in the heart of Chelsea’s art district in NYC. Established in 1984,  the gallery specializes in connecting art dealers and collectors with national and international artists.
