Annual Disquiet International Literary Scholarship – Lisbon

In collaboration with the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD), Dzanc Books announced the 1st Annual Disquiet International Literary Program (ILP), in Lisbon, Portugal, to take place June 19 – July 1, 2011. The program includes workshops and discussion groups with Portuguese-American writers and Portuguese writers  in Lisbon.

There are full scholarships available for writers of Luso descent. Winners will attend Frank Gaspar’s multi-genre workshop “Writing the Luso Experience” with other writers from Portugal and North America during the ILP. Runners-up will be offered partial tuition scholarships. To be eligible applicants must be residents of the United States or Canada with a genealogical link to a Lusophone country.
