Richard Wurman keynote speaker at the 1st E3 Forum – Portugal

Richard Wurman, co-founded of TED Conferences and TED MED, is the keynote speaker at the 1st Education, Employment & Entrepreneurship Forum (E3 Forum), to be held in Portugal, June 30.

The forum will take place at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), which is one of the nine faculties of the University Nova de Lisboa (UNL), in Monte da Caparica, Almada, and the Pavilion of Knowledge, in Lisbon.

This is the first time Richard Wurman makes a presentation in Portugal. Other guest speakers include Paul Stein, João Caraça, Claúdia Ranito, Zeinal Bava, António Portela, José Salcedo and Mackey Craven.

The E3 Forum is a 1-day event organized by MIT Portugal students seeking to add value to knowledge through the creation of synergies between academia, industry, entrepreneurs and policy makers.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Richard Wurman — an architect and graphic designer — is one of the world’s most motivational public speakers, considered to be a pioneer in information architecture design, which goal is to make information understandable to everyone.  

The author of 81 books, his achievements include the publication of his best-selling book “Information Anxiety” and his award winning Access Travel Guides.

The mission of  TED Conferences (TED – Technology, Entertainment and Design) aims at providing the masses with the power of knowledge.  YouTube and various social media sites have helped share TED’s “ideas worth sharing.”

The MIT Portugal Program is a large-scale international collaboration involving the MIT and the government, academia and industry, to develop educational and research programs in Portugal.
